Weekly Photo Challenge: Silence

DSC00746

Some may think I’m mad, or incredibly sad. But this is a picture that represents silence to me. I am 22 years old and I would be lying if I said I could go more than a few days without a phone. However, a phone out of battery is a phone cut off from the outside World. Cut off from Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and other social network sites. To have silence from this technological World can be absolute bliss (but I would eventually miss it!).

Sometimes I think I am born in the wrong era. How I would love to go to a dance in my 1960’s frock and find the man of my dreams, or wear leg warmers and have my hair permed in the 80’s, jamming to Bon Jovi and Bananarama. Today, it is too easy to find the next best model, whether that being a car, a phone…or a person. We all live life in the fast lane and to have the silence and peace away from technology, is what I think we all sometimes need.

How long could you go without a phone?
